Karen Crouse

“Karen is the Trusted Guide who introduces us to the simple, magical and authentic Napa Valley Lifestyle.”

Karen Crouse and her husband, Greg purchased a vineyard on Mount Veeder in 2007, with Karen at the helm, making her one of a few female grape growers in the Napa Valley. She is deeply connected to the farming community in Napa Valley and especially on Mount Veeder. She has also served on the Mount Veeder Appellation Council for fifteen years. During her 16-year career with American Express, Karen worked with the many wineries, restaurants, hotels, and retailers throughout the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The skills she honed in sales, marketing, PR, branding, and Six Sigma have served her well in starting and running her businesses.

Karen’s corporation, Mount Veeder Magic Vineyards, is the only company offering Mount Veeder Cab for individuals’ private cellars. Napa Valley Life Magazine series “Cooking with Karen Crouse” is in its second year and she was the guest chef at the former Hurley’s Restaurant in Yountville for fourteen years.

Today Karen lives an authentic farming life; tending vines, nurturing grapes, and overseeing all aspects of wine production. The vineyard is her source of inspiration that also represents a sense of community and it’s that comradery within the Napa Valley wine industry that sets the stage for a magical place that’s as much about beauty as it is about business.

The Farmhouse

Welcome to the farmhouse, built in 1924 and renovated in 2016. This is where I bring all that inspires me in the Vineyard and outside, inside. I think of it as my workshop, where I cook, play with décorating ideas and entertain friends. From simple tips to my most-loved recipes, here’s where the Napa Valley Lifestyle comes to life.
